What makes a Lifeline Battery the Best Choice for my RV or Marine application?

Answer 2: Lifeline AGM Batteries - The Most Efficient Batteries you Can Buy

What makes a Lifeline Battery the best battery available for your marine or RV application?
It's performance of course. This performance stems from the explicit battery manufacturing techniques we use everyday. The Lifeline AGM battery has the lowest internal resistance of any battery on the market. This lack of resistance, when comparing a Lifeline Battery to another brand is shown in self discharge rates, CCA, instant amps, life cycles, and amp hours. A Lifeline battery self discharges more slowly on the shelf, has more power when you start the motor, and lasts longer with more amp hours than any other AGM Lead Acid battery.

Technically, battery efficiency is shown as a Peukert Coefficient, after the German Scientist who determined the mathematical determination of power pulled from a battery. The lower the Peukert Coefficient, the more efficient the battery in question. Battery chargers, high end inverters, and many other renewable energy electronics even charge and discharge the batteries depending upon the Peukert Coefficient.

Long story short, because the resistance is so small, these batteries even trick lesser battery chargers into thinking they are shorting out. Because the internal resistance of a Lifeline battery is so low, they can be charged at very high rates. A 100AH GPL-27 battery can be charged at 500 amps, and will be done in under 30 minutes, without getting too hot. We recommend chargers no larger than 5x the capacity of the battery, but no other manufacturer even comes close. (100 ah x 5 = 500 amp charger max).

Lifeline AGM Batteries bring industry leading performance, and it's powered by the lowest Peukert Rating on the market. To our knowledge, no other AGM battery manufacturer can test their batteries to these rating, repeatedly.

Lifeline AGM Batteries have the lowest self discharge rates in the industry. Depending on the temperature at which you store you equipment, you may or may not need a trickle charger all winter. Flooded batteries self discharge by over 10% in 24 hours, and 10% every 30 days. When you make the switch, you should take a look before you hook up that old trickle charger to your new batteries.
